One of our best events of the summer kicks off this weekend.
I’m talking about our annual little party to decide the best softball team in Delaware County.
We call it the Champs ‘n’ Charity Classic.
We will all wind up in Marcus Hook Monday night where we will crown the best.
Every year we learn of another hearti-rending story of someone profoundly affected by cancer.
This year it’s another longtime tourney suppper, Maureen ‘Moe’ Elliott. You can read her story here.
But make sure you pick up a print edition of today's Daily Times for a special tournament section, including a complete schedule and locations of where the games will be played, along with rosters from all the competing teams.
That’s the best thing about Champs ‘n’ Charity. All the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.
