How we managed to dodge the bullet on Sandy

I continue to be amazed at how lucky Delaware County got when it comes to Hurricane Sandy.

The Jersey shore towns are devastated.

There are areas of Bucks and Montgomery counties that are still without power.

And here in Delco? Well, life has pretty much returned to normal. We’re cleaning up a few trees. The power is back on.

So how did this happen?

We decided to talk to some forecasters and find out, including one who managed to predict exactly what the storm was going to do, including that last-second change of course which turned out to be a huge break for Delaware County.

Make sure you read it in the Sunday Times, and of course here on DelcoTimes.com.
