A must win already for Pederson, Birds?

As the president of the Sam Bradford Fan Club, I can confirm that I am looking forward to the visit of the Vikings to Lincoln Financial Field this weekend.

Yes, that is Sam Bradford leading the undefeated Vikings back into the same South Philly turf where he was given his walking papers by the Birds just a week before the start of the season.

Remember the plan? Bradford was the starter, Chase Daniel was the backup and Carson Wentz was expected to hold a clipboard all season.

Then Vikings' QB Teddy Bridgeford's knee exploded.

Then the Eagles' plans did likewise. Bradford was dealt to the Vikes, allowing Howie Roseman to reacquire the first-round draft pick he dealt away in order to move up and take Wentz.

Then Roseman and Doug Pederson stunned everyone by naming Wentz the starter.

The Birds got off to a sizzling 3-0 start, but have stumbled after their bye week, losing to a team they should have beaten in the Lions, then getting pushed all over the field by the Redskins in a game that was nowhere near as close as it should have been.

Meanwhile, Bradford has the Vikings hitting on all cylinders.

So, yes, I am excited about this matchup.

Sorry, Sam. I will be rooting for the Eagles.

But not even I am ready to put it in the terms of our Eagles beat writer, Bob Grotz.

My man Bob is already talking about a 'must' win for Doug Pederson.

That didn't take long.
