The most impressive number from last night's Phillies game

0.

That's how many hits the Phillies had going into the sixth inning of last night's game vs. the Yankees.

15.

That's how many times the Phils struck out.

20.

Home run No. 20 for the Yankees' Aaron Judge.

4-2.

A loss for the home team.

But none of those numbers are the one that most impressed me about last night's opener with the Bronx Bombers in South Philly.

44,136. That's how many people went through the turnstiles last night at Citizens Bank Park.

It's been awhile. In fact it's the most people who have entered the stadium, aside from a season opener, since Sept. 22, 2013. Sure, it might have seemed like half of them were Yankees' fans.

That's what happens when you play a New York team.

But it was nice to flick on the TV and not see a sea of empty blues seats.

Instead we were treated to a sea of Yankees pinstripes.

I'll take it.

The ballpark looked alive again.

Summer in the city.
