Good kids doing good things equal good news

I'm always looking for ways to show kids in a good light.

I know I do enough of the opposite.

It's real easy in this business to offer a skewed vision of our kids, our towns and our communities.

The fact is that kids doing something wrong is news; kids doing good things is not always the case.

But in this case it is.

Today we take note of the accomplishments of 15 young Delco high school scholars who have been named winners of this year's The Community's Foundation scholarships. All of them are planning to take up majors in college that will allow them to enter the health field.

The Foundation will hand out more than $1,000 in scholarships again this year.
