When Mariner East drops into your backyard

Ever wonder what it's like to have a pipeline as your backyard neighbor.

Meet Kathy and Chris Ventresca.

They live in the Andover development out in Thornbury Township, at the intersection of Routes 352 and 926.

They can stand in their backyard and literally reach out and touch the wall that separates their little slice of the suburbs from one of the most controversial projects in the county.

That would be the Mariner East 2 pipeline.

Construction drilling to install the new 20-inch pipe has picked up again in their neighborhood. The Ventrescas talk about glasses rattling in their cabinets, floors shaking and ceiling fans fluttering.

You can read about it on today's editorial page.
