Today’s Upper: Kudos to Delco Judge Barry Dozor for throwing the book – and a serious prison sentence – at Ramir Steve for the cold-blooded murder of Upper Darby cab driver Greg Cunningham.
*
Quote Box: “Mr. Ramir had a complete disregard for the life of Gregory Cunninham.”

The numbers don't lie. And one of the truths embedded in many of the numbers is the high price that we pay for not making treatment of drug and alcohol problems a priority in Delaware County. Here are some more numbers:

Inpatient Units for Teen Substance Abusers in Delaware County: 0
Halfway Houses for Women: 0
Treatment Options in the DUI weekend unit at George W. Hill: 0
Recovery Houses: 0
Halfway Houses: 1
Inpatient Treatment Facilities: 2

These numbers add up to a seriously neglected problem in our County, specifically, a problem that creates many other problems.

Sincerely,
Ken Williams
