As stories go, they don’t get much sadder than this one.
There is a common misconception that we somehow enjoy reporting on these kinds of tragedies.
I assure you we don’t. They are gut-wrenching. But that does not mean we ignore them, either.
In this instance, a baby is dead and a mother hospitalized. The baby’s death has been ruled a homicide by the county medical examiner. It’s very likely the mother will be charged in her baby’s death.
Police say she was in the throes of depression and left a note indicating she wanted them both to die.
As I said, it doesn’t get any sadder than that.
