The Flyers have been here before. Don’t kid yourself, though.
Tonight they will play the most important game of their season. Down 2-0 after dropping the first two games against the Blackhawks in Chicago, the orange and black return to the friendly confines of the Wachovia Center in South Philly to make another stand.
Very simply put, the Flyers must win tonight.
Yes, they rallied from being down 3-0 to best the Bruins. I don’t think lightning is going to strike twice. Repeat that premise against the Blackhawks, and it might be time for the fat lady to start warming up.
And I don’t mean Kate Smith.
The Flyers were in both games in Chicago; an optimist might point they could have won them both.
They didn’t. Close doesn’t count at this time of the year.
