Justice for the Chester 12

They are the other faces of Chester.

They are not the people streaming into the glittering new PPL Park, home of the Philadelphia Union of the MSL.

They are not patrons pumping money into those slots machines at Harrah’s Chester.

They are not Widener students. Nor employees at Crozer Chester Medical Center.

They are citizens of Chester, citizens who are no longer with us.

They held an even yesterday in the city to bring attention to what is being referred to as the Chester 12.

They are the city’s 12 unsolved murders.

They vary in age, from little 2 year-old Terrance Webster to 54-year-old Cheryl Harden.

You can read Rose Quinn’s moving account of yesterday’s events here.

These 12 names call out for one thing: Justice.

It’s now up to the community to come forward with what they know and all the city to put the Chester 12 to rest.

A proper burial would include bringing to justice those responsible for their murders.

There are people in the city who know what happened in these 12 cases, and who is responsible.

Now it’s time to deliver justice for the Chester 12.
