Someone knows what happened to Jenna Lord

The mystery of Jenna Lord’s death remains just that.

Her family deserves better.

Lord, a 23-year-old Collingdale mother, was last seen alive July 5 at a train station in Camden. For two weeks, her worried family waited on word from their loved one. They handed out fliers in Camden. They worked with police. They heard nothing.

On Sunday a search organized by family members confirmed their worst fears. Jenna Lord’s decomposing body was found in a weed-strewn lot in Camden.

An autopsy performed on Monday could not determine a cause of death. It was listed simply as “inconclusive.” Because of the condition of the body, it is not believed that toxicology tests would be able to determine a cause of death either. The medical examiner indicated there were no obvious signs of foul play.

Lord was the mother of a 3-year-old son. Her family now is left only with the heartache of not knowing what happened in those fateful two weeks.

They do not know how Jenna died, nor when, and how long her body may have been lying in the deserted, desolate lot.

It is not a comforting thought.

There is one person who may hold the key to what happened to Jenna Lord.
He is one of two men seen on a surveillance video getting off a train with Lord in Camden on the morning of July 5. It was the last time he was seen alive.

The Camden County Prosecutor’s office indicates they are continuing to interview anyone who had contact with Lord on the last day she was seen alive.

They are not commenting beyond that.

One thing is clear. Someone knows the answer to the riddle of Jenna Lord’s death. They need to come forward and tell authorities what they know.

So that Jenna Lord can be laid to rest. And her family can move forward with the knowledge of what happened to her in her final hours.
