I’m not sure what I find more surprising, the fact that a woman apparently left her two children out in her steaming car while she went inside Parx Casino to play the slots, or that police say it is the sixth time such an incident has happened this summer.
Bensalem police have charged a woman with child endangerment after they were called to Parx Casino at Philly Park on Aug. 1.
Sharon Balek, 35, is charged with leaving her two daughters, 15 and 8, in the car while she went inside to play the slots.
Six hours later, the kids finally called their day, who came and picked them up. The children were not injured.
Video surveillance captured mom inside playing the slots.
I have written several times that this huge expansion of legalized gambling is going to have an unquestionable down side.
