Dual meltdowns in D.C. and Dallas

Let’s cut to the chase, Eagles fans.

It’s six days and counting until D-Day II. That would be the rematch between the Birds and our old pal Donovan McNabb.

When last seen, McNabb was stewing on the Redskins’ sideline after being pulled in the final minutes of their loss to the Lions.

After their bye week, the Redskins get back to work – and back to the soap opera surrounding McNabb.

Different city, same story.

Then there is the delightful turn of events in Dallas. Jerry Jones yesterday finally pulled the plug on Wade Phillips and named offensive coordinator Jason Garrett of the ‘Boys.

America’s Team currently has exactly one win to go along with seven losses, including a humiliating 45-7 whipping at the hands of the Green Bay Packers Sunday night in front of another national television audience. The forced Jones' hand. It is the first time in team history that the Cowboys have changed coaches in the middle of the season.

Before the season, there was a lot of talk that the Cowboys might be playing a home game in the Super Bowl, which will be played this year in Jones’ gazillion-dollar playpen.

Looks like the Cowboys might need tickets to get in.
