4:05: At least one e-mailer was less than impressed with our call to write their own endorsements. He's a Bryan Lentz fan, and he's not happy. Here' what he had to say:
"Guess you weren’t serious about the alternate endorsement crap (did not notice any of them published). Like the Philadelphia Inquirer you apparently do political editing of reader disagreements with company policy (probably decreases advertising income) and chose to air redneck illogical polemics instead. Your choice of endorsing Meehan over Lentz (like the Inquirer) will undoubtedly keep your rag in the good graces of the party by suppressing any arguments that were remotely logical ( like endorsing candidates who have experience and recognized accomplishments which are relevant to the job in favor of those who make vague promises that they can not be held accountable for and allow anonymous issue adds to spread inflammatory lies about their opponent rather than proposing rational solutions to serious problems - showing unacceptably poor judgment). Well good luck keeping up reader illusions about the Delco Times being a fair, even-handed and respected truth seeking media in the chaotic world of big money multi-special-interest propaganda! "
Not sure how he missed them. They were clearly posted on the website, and we also ran many of them - both agreeing and disagreeing with our opinions - in print on our editorial page.
