12:45: Sounds like we might have our first cry of 'foul' in the election. And it comes from the bitterly contested 8th District Congressional race pitting incumbent Rep. Pat Murhpy against the man he beat four years ago, Mike Fitzpatrick.
Murphy this morning is claiming Republican operatives are trying to suppress the vote by hassling would-be voters at polling places. Fitzpatrick is denying any connection, calling it the cry of a desperate candidate. Murphy has been trailing in the polls.
Murphy must be a sports radio fan, or at least think most of his constituents are. I heard him call in to The Fan 97.5FM last night on the ride home, then this morning he was on with Angelo Catalid and the Morning Team on WIP 610 AM.
