Talk about getting hosed!

Can someone please explain to me what exactly is going on with gas prices?

It’s not like we’re bearing down on the Memorial Day weekend and the spike in summer driving.

We’re bearing down on the holidays.

That’s not stopping the crunch at the pump. It’s enough to turn you into a Grinch. Except I don’t think it cost him nearly as much to fill up his sleigh and slide down into Whoville.

I’m looking for ‘who’ I am supposed to blame for the fact that it now takes $40 and up to fill up a lousy Toyota Camry, which I routinely do a couple of times a week.

The lowest price I could find over the weekend was $3.05 a gallon, and that's for bottom of the barrel regular.

AAA reports today that the average price in the Philly region is now $3.08. That's up from $3.03 last week and $2.72 last year.

AAA says the latest price spike is being 'fueled' by an increase in demand. Must be all those cars headed to the malls.

Feel free to enlighten me.

All I want for Christmas is Wawa gift cards, which I’ll use to fill up my tank.

Talk about getting hosed.
