There will be some “turbulence” on our “Live From the Newsroom” Internet show tonight.
That’s because we’ll be delving into the controversial issue of runway expansion at Philadelphia International Airport.
Joining Gil Spencer and myself will be Dave McCann, the man behind Residents Against Airport Expansion in Delco.
They recently joined with the township in filing petitions against the Federal Aviation Administration’s approval of the plan that would take a big chunk of Tinicum, including more than 70 homes and 80 businesses.
No on is arguing that the airport is a crucial cog in the region’s economy. What is being argued is why it is always the people of Tinicum who seem to be put out when the airport needs to be “fixed.”
Do you have a question on this issue? Is there something you’d like McCann to address?
Nor surprisingly, no one from the airport or the FAA has agreed to join us.
Send me an e-mail with your question, at editor@delcotimes.com. Or you can log on to the show tonight and “chat”along with us.
We’ll be “live” from the newsroom tonight at 7, on delcotimes.com.
Join us, and join in the conversation.
