They will draw a line in the sand tonight in Chester.
They will go to the windows and yell, “We’re as mad as hell and we’re not going to take it anymore.”
They will rise with one voice and say: Enough.
The Chester community will gather for an anti-violence meeting in the wake of the weekend shooting at a teen party that left two young people dead and eight others wounded. No one has yet been charged in the shootings, though several teens are being held on weapons charges.
Among those in attendance will be Mayor Wendell Butler, members of Chester City Council, Chester’s Anti-Violence Task Force, Chester youth organizations and faith-based organizations.
The meeting will take place in the Chester City Hall Community Room.
I’ll be interested to see how many residents show up.
I would think the place should be packed.
We’ll be there. Will you?
