All's right with the world

It took entirely too long, and involved way too much hot air, but they got in done.

I'm talking about the Eagles and Phillies, not the deal to ease the debt limit crisis.

They got that done, too.

Democrats and Republicans finally managed to scratch out a deal Sunday night in Washington, D.C. It no doubt is not going to make everyone happy, but it already has the markets singing a happy tune in overseas trading.

In the meantime, the Phillies managed to get their man, Hunter Pence. to play right field and be that bit right-hand stick behing Ryan Howard.

And the Eagles? All the 'gold standard' did was have a solid gold weekend, bagging the biggest prize of NFL free agency, cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha.

What could make things any better?

Easy. I will return to my favorite place on Earth. Greetings from Rehoboth Beach, Del.

If you see a guy in a DelcoTimes.com 'Fancast' T-shirt, by all means say hello.

In the meantime, talk to yourselves, readers. See you in a bit.

Easy for you to say when there is obviously so much favoritism in our corner of the world.

Mr. Heron: I hope while you are on vacation leaving us to talk to ourselves, that here on Thursday, August 4th, you aren't tuned in to what happened today on Wall Street. Because if you were to see it you would know "All's NOT right with the world." What you note "they got done" didn't do it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...
