If Phillies skipper Charlie Manuel is looking for another bat on his bench, he could probably do worse than glancing at his ace left-hander Cliff Lee.
All Lee did last night was beat the Dodgers almost single-handedly.
Lee again was majestic on the mound, going eight innings and not giving up a run while scattering four hits and striking out 10.
But he wasn’t done. Lee also launched his second home run over the right-field fence in the seventh against Ted Lilly.
It proved to be the difference when Ryan Madson got touched for a run in the ninth before slamming the door and preserving the win.

We all know Lee can beat teams with his arm. No one knew he was going to start carrying a big stick as well.
What’s he going to do next, start stealing bases?
