Some serious congratulations are due today for former Daily Times staffer Rob Knox.
The Chester High grad who cut his teeth covering the Clippers and other high school action for the Daily Times has just landed his dream job at ESPN.
After his stint at the Daily Times, Rob worked at his alma mater, Lincoln University, as well as Kutztown, as sports information director.
I will always remember Rob for his rousing introductions of the All-Delco basketball team at our annual All-Delco athletic awards dinner.
Rob and I also shared something else besides our love of writing and journalism.
We were both LU men. That’s right, Lincoln Lions. Rob was a Lincoln grad. I commuted to class there from home in Oxford for two years before winding up at the University of Colorado.
Delco is proud of you, Rob!
