It turns out Andre Dupuis might have been murdered for his truck.
The Aston man’s body was found dumped down an embankment on a rural Chester County road last weekend. But his truck was gone.
It was discovered a couple of days later in Indiana. Two people were taken into custody.
Now they have been charged with Dupuis’ murder. You can read the full story here.
According to the affidvait filed for their arrest, Chandler Gordon Clark, 20, and Melanie Ann Ray, 25, had recently met Dupuis.
They allegedly concocted a story asking him to drive them to a friend’s house. Out on a remote road in West Nottingham, Clark feigned sickness and got out of the truck. Ray is believed to have urged Dupuis to check on her friend. That’s when authorities say the plot turned deadly. Clark is charged with shooting Dupuis twice. His body was then dumped down a ravine.
The affidavit indicates the duo picked Dupuis because he would not be missed. He was not married, did not have children, and likely no one would file a missing person’s report. At least not for awhile.
They hoped to be able to flee to Arizona in his truck.
They were wrong.
Dupuis’ family and friends are heart-broken at the loss of a kind man who everyone said would “give you the shirt off his back.”
He gave two new friends a ride to the country.
He paid for it with his life.
Nice friends.
