Miller time for Garnet Valley seniors

Hell hath no fury like a senior citizen scorned. Especially when it comes to their property taxes.

That’s the lesson being learned by Garnet Valley School Board Vice President Ken Miller.

He’s also likely learning something I learned a long time ago. There are no secrets in the cyberbworld.

Miller is taking some serious heat – including calls for him to step down – after posting some comments on Facebook.

Miller expressed his thoughts about the political activities of the district’s very vocal senior citizens. In effect, he said “we don’t want senior citizens selecting our school board.”

Local senior citizen groups at several of the huge senior living communities were not amused. They have been very active in pushing candidates who oppose rising property taxes. Miller and other board members have noticed.

The Garnet Valley School Board meets Monday night. Seniors say they will be there to let Miller know how they feel.

We’ll be there, too.
