Short-handed Phils roll on

No Chase Utley. No Ryan Howard. No Jimmy Rollins.

No problem.

Nothing stops this Phillies team.

The Phils were short-handed as they trooped off to Milwaukee Thursday night.

Utley was back in Philly, undergoing tests after getting plunked in the helmet Wednesday night and then leaving the game with a headache. He’s believed to have a mild concussion and likely will miss the series with the Brewers.

Howard has an aching foot and was getting the night off.

Rollins was activated after a stint on the DL with a groin strain, but did not see any action.

But the Phils did have Cole Hamels on the hill. And new acquisition Hunter Pence leading the offensive charge.

The result? A surprisingly 7-2 win over the Brew Crew.
