Start building the ark

Maybe we should start building that ark.

Or maybe we just moved to Seattle.

Pounding rains arrived yesterday afternoon and continued to drench the area overnight.

The result this morning is an absolute mess on the roads. The eastbound Schuylkill Expressway is shut down from the Blue Route to Girard. Westbound has finally gotten at least one lane open going out of the city.

In Delaware County, the usual places are again seeing problems. Darby Creek has swelled over its banks again. Much of Darby Borough is again under water.

In the western end of the county, the Brandywine is running amok as usual.

Haverford schools decided to close for the day.
