6:20 a.m.: Welcome to another Election Day. And that means live coverage here on DelcoTimes.com
With the polls not opening for another half-hour, we're already on the case and ready to offer a running commentary on today's general municipal election.
You can look to DelcoTimes.com for complete live coverage, starting this morning with a visit from President Obama to a Head Start center in Yeadon, right through the results as they come in tonight.
We will be out in force Tuesday night to bring you live election results. Make sure you turn to DelcoTimes.com for all the results from the big races in Delaware County, including three seats on County Council, a new district attorney, and five new judges on the county Court of Common Please. Also up for grabs will be seats on the ruling bodies of every borough and township, as well as school board in the county. And there’s a sprinkling of magisterial district judge seats on the ballot just for good measure.
The days when we sat around the newsroom waiting for results to come in are long gone.
The technology we swim in every day now allows us to literally deliver news as it happens, and we will be out in force delivering the news throughout the day on Tuesday.
I will be blogging the elections throughout the day on the Heron’s Nest blog. We’re also looking to readers to take an active part in our election coverage. If you see something of note during the day, email me at editor@delcotimes.com. Feel free to submit photos and video as well.
Also blogging throughout the day will be featured columnist Gil Spencer on his Spencerblog, as well as lead political writer Danielle Lynch on her The Delco Delivery blog.
Tonight you can join Gil and myself as we do live-stream coverage from the Republican and Democratic headquarters. We’ll pay visits to both camps, and report the mood of the rank and file as the results come in. We’ll offer you live results, as well as a healthy sprinkling of commentary and analysis through the night, along with interviews with candidates and party leaders as we try to sift through the results.
Most important, we’ll be the first place to deliver election results. So make sure you're logged in to DelcoTimes.com for complete Delco election coverage.
Please join us for a special election-night live stream from 9-11 p.m. on DelcoTimes.com.
We’ll come right back Wednesday night with a special ‘Live From the Newsroom’ to recap all the election results on Wednesday night.
