The president comes to Yeadon

9:20: President Obama is spending part of this election day here in Delaware County at a .... ahem .... non-political event in Yeadon.

I'm not sure there is such a thing on election day.

At any rate, the president is pushing a proposal for Head Start programs to complete for federal dollars rather than just be awarded them. It's part of his effort at increasing the effectiveness of such programs.

Of course, his visit is not going unanswered by the GOP. Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus and Pa. GOP Chairman Bob Gleason will be holding a conference call at 11 a.m. to discuss the president's visit.

Republicans have been jabbing the president and remarking that his recent visits to the state have not exactly set the world on fire.
