Making the case for saving Bonner & Prendie

The tears have stopped. Almost.

They've been replaced by anger. And questions.

Now the fight begins.

Yesterday the Archdiocese of Philadelphia spelled out the process to be used by schools that want to appeal the recommendation by a blue-ribbon comission that they be closed.

You can read about that here.

Tonight on our weekly live-stream Internet broadcast,  'Live From the Newsroom,' we will host a panel of Bonner and Prendie alums who will make the case for saving the school, most likely by merging the long tradition of single-sex education into one coed school.

Today we featured a Villanova professor who believes it's an economic model that will work. You can read that piece here.

Most importantly, we also will be joined tonight by the Rev. James Olson, president of Monsignor Bonner and Archbishop Prendergast. I will ask him about the process being used to determine if there are grounds for an appeal, and when that decision will be made.

If you have a question your would like to see asked of Rev. Olson or our panel of alums, email it to me at editor@delcotimes.com. You also can join the show tonight and take part in a live chat. Log on to DelcoTimes.com to take part.

It's the biggest issue in the county right now, and we'll be tackling it head-on again tonight.

See you at 7. Join us!
