Warning: Smoking may be hazardous to your wallet

Got a chuckle yesterday when I heard that a federal court had knocked down a plan to put really nasty warnings on packs of cigarettes.

It’s all part of a plan to wean America off the evils of nicotine, and the staggering health care bills tied to tobacco and smoking.

The warnings showed graphic images of people dealing with lung cancer and other maladies associated with smoking.

As a lifetime non-smoker and general cheapskate, I suggest about this alternative: Just make the price as big as possible on every pack, or on every carton.

That ought to be enough to scare people off.

Thanks for another excellent post. Where else could anyone get that kind of information in such a perfect way of writing? I’ve a presentation next week, and I am on the look for such information.
