Philly sports fans went two-for-three last night.
Somehow, I don’t think that’s going to make Flyers fans feel any better this morning.
The Orange & Black lit the lamp just a few minutes into their Game 2 against the Devils last night, then promptly fell asleep. They literally took the rest of the night off. In the process they squandered home-ice advantage and now head up the Jersey Turnpike for a Thursday might matchup all squared at a game apiece.

But more and more, I’m starting to believe the Flyers are going to live and die with their netminder, Ilya Bryzgalov.
He kept the Flyers in the game early, fending off a consistent Devils’ attack. But with the game on the line in the third period, Bryz failed to deliver the goods.
I’m inclined to agree with Jack McCaffery. You just never know which Bryzgalov is going to show up.
On the bright side, the Sixers immediately served notice that the Bulls are not the same team without their star guard Derrick Rose. The Sixers dominated the third period en route to a 109-92 win.
And if you’re a Phillies fan, you should be sporting a smile this morning. The Phils went into Atlanta for their first big series with a division foe, got another quality start from Cole Hamels, and put down the Braves, 4-2.
