We'll be 'Live From the Newsroom' with Congressman Pat Meehan

Talk about good timing.

For our livestream Internet broadcast – ‘Live From the Newsroom’ - tonight, we will be joined by U.S. Rep. Pat Meehan, R-7.

Meehan was part of the big contingent on hand yesterday in Trainer to herald the purchase of the ConocoPhillips refinery by Delta Air Lines. The move is expected to salvage 400 jobs directly tied to the refinery, and as many as 5,000 in the community that are dependent on the plant.

We’ll talk about how the Conoco deal came about, as well as the future of two Sunoco refineries in the region, in South Philly and Marcus Hook. While the company, which itself was sold this week, has entered into an agreement on a joint operating venture with the Carlyle Group for the South Philly refinery, there remains apparently no interest in its iconic Marcus Hook refinery. We’ll find out the latest.

Do you have something you’d like to ask the congressman? Email me your question at editor@delcotimes.com. Then tune in tonight and take part in our live chat.

We’ll be live at 7 o’clock on www.delcotimes.com with Congressman Pat Meehan.
