As Jimmy and the Eagles QBs turn

Jimmy Rollins is out.

It looks like Nick Foles and Trent Edwards are in, but Mike Kafka is out.

The Phillies beat the Mets yesterday, but the big story was another incident with Jimmy Rollins. He got benched after a base-running mistake and then failing to run out an infield pop that was dropped by the pitcher.

It will be interesting to see if Rollins is in the lineup tonight when the Phils open a series in Atlanta.

You can read all about that one here.

The Eagles wrapped up an undefeated preseason last night by beating the Jets, due largely to the efforts of backup journeyman QB Trent Edwards. Andy Reid now has a choice to make. Three quarterbacks are going to make this team. I’m not sure how Mike Kafka, who has missed a lot of time with an injury, makes the team.

Here’s beat writer Bob Grotz’s look at last night’s game, and his take on the Eagles final roster.
