We’re ready for our close-up, Mr. Ricker.
Roger Ricker is one of the guys who makes the Media Theatre go. Every summer since its inception we’ve been giving a big push to one of the really fun events of the summer, Delco Idol.
This year we’re upping the ante a bit.
Since Delco Idol takes place every Wednesday night, we’ve decided to be the opening act for the finals, which take place this Wednesday night at the theatre.
The finals start at 7. At 6 we’ll be on the Media Theatre stage with a very special road show edition of ‘Live From the Newsroom.’
What we have in mind is a preview of the finals of Delco Idol, along with some background on just what has made this local talent competition the success it’s been.
We’ll be joined by several execs from the Media Theatre, as well as a couple of the participants, who will talk about the competition.
Also joining us will be Sue Serio, the Fox-29 ‘Good Day’ weather anchor who serves as emcee for the competition.
Perhaps nobody knows the competitors better than Tom Fosnocht, who accompanies each performer on the piano. We’ll have Tom on to give us some special insights into the show.
Once we clear the stage, it will be on to the finals at 7, and we’re hoping to live-stream at least some of the show.
