How bad are things? Chase Utley certainly is starting to think of next year. Yesterday he was taking ground balls at third base, sending tongues - and pens - wagging with thoughts of the infield with Utley at third, Rollins at short, Galvis at second and Howard at first.
But for now, for this season, it looks like meaningless baseball has arrived for September.
