We are one month away from Election Day.
Guess it’s time for the fireworks to start locally.
And it looks like Marcus Hook Mayor Jay Schiliro is ready to lob the first grenade.
Schiliro, a Republican, is challenging longtime incumbent Democrat state Rep. Thaddeus Kirkland, D-159. The GOPer is planning a press conference today to announce he is filing an ethics complaint against Kirkland.
Schiliro says he has uncovered information dealing with Kirkland family members who he claims have benefitted from state funding directed by House Democrats.
Should be interesting to see how Kirkland responds.
We’ll be there to bring you what should be a fairly heated back-and-forth.
Buckle your seatbelts, folks, it’s going to be a long, bumpy month.
