Things just don’t get any easier for Andy Reid.
The embattled Eagles coach continues to find himself under siege for Tuesday’s decision to can his longtime friend and defensive coordinator Juan Castillo.
Even the national media, who have fawned over the coach for years and ripped Eagles fans for questioning Big Red, have taken to harpooning him over the coaching shuffle.
Reid will be back in the headlines, this time once again for his family’s personal struggles.
Reid’s son Garrett was found dead in a dorm room at Lehigh University during Eagles training camp back in August.
This afternoon the Northampton County district attorney will hold a news conference to release the details of the investigation.
It’s easy to question Reid’s actions as coach of the Eagles. It goes with the territory. But I would not wish the travails he’s struggled with as a father on anyone.
