We survived Sandy, now for the aftermath

Well, it looks like we survived the wrath of  Sandy.

But it's going to take us a while to get back to normal.

At the Jersey and Delaware shores, that process is going to take a lot normal.

Sandy roared over the region Monday, pummeling Delaware County with rain and high wind.

Here are some things you need to know this morning:

The interstates - I-95, I-476 and the Schuylkill - around Philadelphia, which had been closed last night, reopened this morning at 4 a.m. The bridges connecting Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including the Commodore Barry Bridge in Chester, also were reopened after being shut down to all traffic.

The big concern today is going to be power. There are still a million people without power across the region. It's going to take a while to get that all back.

In Darby Borough, some good news. It appears Darby Creek did not go over its banks as feared. But in Chester, there was flooding reported in the usual trouble spots.

All Delaware County schools remain closed today, as does the Delaware County Courthouse.
