10:10 a.m.: Have to admit I did not see this one coming. A tax hike on election day? I have to give props to Tom McGarrigle and County Council. They probably could have sat on the preliminary budget - including a projected 2.8 percent tax hike, until after election day. Instead there it is on the front page of today's paper. It's likely going to cost most taxpayers an additional $20, unless council can pare it down.
