So much for such silliness as electing a new president. Now it’s on to the real news.
There’s a nor’easter coming.
We’re only half joking.
Yes, we will whip folks into a frenzy this morning, not by discussing how President Barack Obama was able to cruise to a surprisingly comfortable win in the Electoral College and thus get to reside in the White House for another four years, but rather at that most magical of words: Snow.
We have just managed to put Superstorm Sandy in the rear-view mirror and today we are again looking down the barrel of a nor’easter that is expected to bring a little of everything to the region. We’ll start with some rain this morning. That will change over to snow this afternoon, and it just might turn into heavy, accumulating snow - at least on grassy surfaces - tonight.
It will all be accompanied by high winds.
This likely will not cause traffic gridlock, but it will batter the Jersey shore, probably the last thing they need as they continue to pick up the pieces after Sandy.

Need a reason to smile? Well, if you’re a Democrat you should be happy this morning.
And if you simply hate this weather? Just wait. It’s expected to be close to 65 and sunny on Sunday.
Only in Philadelphia.
