Delco stars in 'Silver Linings Playbook'

Get ready for your close-up, Delco.

This weekend marks the arrival of the new Bradley Cooper flick, ‘The Silver Linings Playbook.’

And while not listed in the credits, Delaware County plays a starring role. Movie buffs will see any number of familiar Delco sites in the flick, including the iconic Llanerch Diner in Upper Darby, near the intersection of West Chester Pike and Township Line Road.

Two Delco neighborhoods also play a big role in the flick. Cooper’s family, including father Robert DeNiro, camped at a home on South Madison Avenue in Upper Darby. His love interest in the film, Jennifer Lawrence, resides in a house on South Swarthmore Avenue in Ridley.

• We have a sneak preview of the film here.

‘Silver Linings Playbook’ is getting some serious Oscar buzz. And it makes Delco look great in the process.
