Not the Wright stuff on Main Line

You have to wonder how long it will take before the grumbling starts out on the Main Line.

The Villanova alumni likely are not thrilled about what is going on with the proud Wildcat hoops program.

Villanova got summarily bounced on their home floor by the Temple Owls. You can read all about it in Terry Toohey’s report from a decidedly unhappy Pavilion here.

The loss drops Villanova to 4-4 overall and 0-2 in Big 5 play. Meanwhile, the Owls under Fran Dunphy are a perfect 6-0.

The Wildcats are young, but that won’t stop fans on the Main Line from wondering what is happening to their once-powerful program.

Jay Wright needs to turn this around, and fast. Going 4-4 is not the end of the world; Wright has plenty of time to turn this season around. But losing in the Big 5 might be more than Wildcat fans can take.
