Is Gus on Bus? And 'Live From the Newsroom' previews the Flyers

It’s 6 a.m. Do you know where Gus Bradley is? Does anybody?

After one of the most bizarre days in Philadelphia Eagles history, including surveillance of the Seattle defensive coordinator’s arrival for his second go-round with team brass that rivaled the O.J. chase, we still don’t know if Bradley is the man.

We know he went into the Main Line estate of Eagles owner Jeff Lurie after the team sent a private jet to Seattle to ferry him back east. What we don’t know is if Bradley ever came out. Or if the Eagles have made him an offer. The team has been silent.

Bradley has another interview set for today in Jacksonville. Whether or not he makes that trip likely will be up to the Eagles troika of Lurie, GM Howie Roseman and team President Don Smolenski. If Bradley leaves without a deal, that is not a good thing. The team might have to fall back on exiled Arizona Cardinal’s coach Ken Whisenhunt. The other hot coordinator the Eagles showed an interest in, the Broncos’ Mike McCoy, signed a deal to be head man in San Diego yesterday.

In the meantime, Eagles fans sit and wait.

Our beat writer Bob Grotz will be SportsRadio 94 WIP this morning to talk about the Eagles coaching search carousel.

And if hockey is your thing, don’t miss tonight’s ‘Live From the Newsroom.’

We’ll delve into the Flyers’ chances as they prepare to dive into the NHL’s shortened 48-game season. I’ll be joined by Flyers beat writer Rob Parent, columnist Jack McCaffery, and our old friend Anthony SanFilippo, our former beat writer who now covers the orange and black for Comcast.

Have a question about the Flyers or the NHL you’d like the panel to answer? Email it to me at editor@delcotimes.com. Then tune in to DelcoTimes.com tonight at 7 and take part in our live chat.

Maybe by then we’ll even know who the next head coach of the Eagles will be!
