Fresh off his appearance with Marty Moss-Coane on her WHYY-FM radio show Tuesday morning, Gil Spencer will go for the double-header tonight when he joins me for another ‘Live From the Newsroom.’ We’ll be talking about Gov. Tom Corbett’s decision to file a class-action lawsuit against the NCAA in connection with those onerous sanctions they slapped on Penn State in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky scandal.
Gil has become one of the loudest voices in the state in support of the governor’s actions. Even Corbett’s office has been touting his columns.
You can read Gil’s latest thoughts on the matter here.
We’ll also be joined by Chris Freind. I kind of doubt the governor has been tweeting about Freind’s beliefs. Friend has been one of Corbett’s most vocal critics.
And his opinion of the lawsuit
has not exactly enhanced his view of the governor, along with a lot of other questions Freind has in terms of how Corbett handled the Sandusky investigation back when he was attorney general.
Me? I’ll likely wind up being the mediator tonight. I should have worn a black-and-white striped shirt to enhance my referee’s role.
But don’t just sit on the sidelines. Why not take part in the conversation? A recent statewide poll shows Pennsylvania residents support the governor’s move with the suit. How about you?
Of if you have a question you’d like to ask of either Spencer or Freind, email me at editor@delcotimes.com. Then tune in tonight at 7 and take part in our live chat on DelcoTimes.com.
We’ll be talking Gov. Corbett and Penn State tonight. Again.
