Forget Valentine's, we're loving the return of the Phillies

Yes, I am aware that the calendar says it is Feb. 13. That means Valentine’s Day is one day away. Hope you like the Conversation Hearts, honey.

This year Feb. 13 means something else.

It means spring has arrived.

The Phillies are back in Clearwater. At least pitchers and catchers are, along with several members of the regular club.

We’re there, too. As usual, we have our Phillies beat writer Dennis Deitch sweating it out under the Florida sun detailing every move as the Phils prepare for a season that, unlike their recent streak of playoff appearances, is full of questions.

Here’s five of them that are hanging over the team.

You can find Deitch’s first reports and videos from Clearwater here.

But Spring Fever won't be limited to Florida. There also will be a case of baseball nirvana when the Phils put single-game tickets on sale at Citizens Bank Park. There is a bunch of Delco die-hards who are always the first in line. If you’re down at the stadium waiting in line for tickets, email me a photo and I’ll post it online. You can send it to editor@delcotimes.com, or tweet it to @philheron.

Look for reporter Jeff Wolfe, who will stop by the stadium this morning to talk to some Delco folks suffering from a serious case of Phillies Phever.

Hey, the way the Sixers and Flyers are playing, it can’t get here soon enough.
