Sad-sack Sixers manage just 69 points in loss

69 points.

That’s all the Sixers could must last night against the Pacers as they got routed on their home floor, 88-69.

The boxscore says attendance was 15,299. A lot of those people must have come dressed as blue seats, especially in the upper levels.

This no doubt was not what Adam Aron and his pals had in mind when they bought the team. But they made the decision to build their entire franchise around Andrew Bynum and his balky knees. The next practice Bynum takes part in will be his first.

Yes, we’re talking about practice. Not a game. Practice.

The team is still sticking to the story that Bynum will be back on the court after the All-Star break. I keep hearing the guy talk about problems with his knees. I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for him to actually get into a game.

Last night the team couldn’t throw it in the ocean. The starters shot 15 for 59 and committed 15 turnovers.

No wonder Aron has suddenly disappeared.

The Phillies start their training camp in six days. And the Sixers? Does anyone really care?
