My print column is up. It deals with the 18-month effort to save the region’s refineries in southwest Philly and the lower end of Delaware County.
We know a little bit about that story. We were among the first to point out that what was at stake was in fact a way of life.
The report, written by Patrick Kerkstra, was done by Temple University’s Center on Regional Politics. It is titled, “Take Care of Our Own: How Democrats, Republicans, Business and Labor Saved Thousands of Jobs and Our Refineries.”
It should be required reading by every public official.
