Armageddon is coming. If you live in New England. Fortunately, we don’t live in New England. That doesn’t mean we’re not going to be scared to death over the next 24 to 48 hours.
Yes, such drama can only mean one thing: Snow is in the forecast.
And indeed it is. Just not here. Or at least not all that much.
I suppose this, as they say in the biz, all depends on the track of the storm. But from everything I’ve heard, this is not going to be a major storm here in the Philly region.
This isn’t even a case of the infamous northern and western suburbs.
The key to this storm is north. Think of a line across the Poconos and into Mercer County north of Trenton. That looks like the snow line.
This is going to start here in the Philly suburbs tonight, maybe as some flurries, before changing over to rain. We’re due to get rain on Friday with it possibly changing back over to snow late Friday into early Saturday.
There is a chance we could get a couple of inches. But we won’t exactly be paralyzed. Here is the full forecast.
If, however, you by chance are heading for Boston or New England this weekend, go ahead and panic. It looks like they’re going to get hammered as this Nor’eastern rumbled up the East Coast, then stalls over them, dumping perhaps a couple of feet of snow.
Speaking of Nor’easters, this is about the last thing shore regions need as they continue to try to put their lives together in the wake of Superstorm Sandy. Keep them in your thoughts.
Stay tuned. As if there was any chance we’re going to be able to avoid weather mania for the next two days.
