Orange you glad the Phils are just around the corner?

Five days and counting.

The start of the baseball season can't get here soon enough. Isn't that right Flyers fans?

The winter of our discontent hit another pothole last night. In what is quickly looking like a do-or-die situation, the Flyers died again.

And making it even worse was that it came at the hands of those hated Rangers.

The Flyers dug themselves an early 3-0 hole, then rallied to within a goal, only to fall short once again, losing 5-2.

You can read Rob Parent's take on the game here.

Columnist Jack McCaffery says don't blame goalie Ilya Bryzgalov. Goal-scoring is this team's Achilles heel. Read Jack here.

The Flyers now sit seven points out of the final playoff.

Bring on Cole Hamels and the Phillies.

And speaking of the pinstripes, make sure you pick up a copy of this Sunday's Daily Times for our special Philliew preview section, including a full-color centerspread Phillies schedule. It's perfect for putting over top of that Flyers schedule on the fridge.
