That's what you call a full night in sports

Blink and you miss a lot in the sports world.

Take last night for instance.

Close but no cigar for the Sixers. They gave LeBron James and the Miami Heat all they wanted, but still came up short at the end.

Chris Vito has all the action

. But fans will thrilled when Jrue Holiday threw down a thunderous dunk over King James.

Don’t look now but the Flyers are in real trouble. After the goaltender Ilya Bruzgalov announced the team had to win the back-to-back games against the Devils to stay in the playoff hunt, the orange and black promptly fell on their sword in another ugly 5-2 loss.

Rob Parent was on hand for that.

More bad news from Clearwater. Cliff Lee followed his pal Roy Halladay to the hill against the Yankees and became the second straight Phillies starter to struggle. Just keep repeating, ‘it’s only an exhibition.’

Dennis Deitch has the details.

Looking for a winner? Villanova is your team. They took their Big East Tourney opener by downing St. John’s.

Terry Toohey is camped out with the Wildcats

at Madison Square Garden.

Of course, the best basketball team in the region, the Chester Clippers, continued their march to another state title by shellacking Williamsport. Rondae Jefferson collected his 1,000th point.

Matt Chandik made the trek to Pottsville

to give you the details. Upper Darby wasn’t as lucky. They fell to Harrisburg.

Matt Smith wraps up the Royals’ season.
