'THE ROADS ARE WET.'
'THERE IS SNOW ACCUMULATING ON GRASSY SURFACES.'
Those are the breathless headlines being delivered to us this morning by our ever-cheerful local morning TV news anchors.
If you consider a few flakes and snow showers as 'news.'
They obviously do. After punting the forecast so horribly when not a single flake arrived on Wednesday or Thursday, when we were assured were in line to get 3-5 inches, I guess you take your flakes where you can find them.
I did in fact drive into the office this morning through some snow showers.
Somehow I managed to make it in without incident. The roads are not slick. And they most certainly are not treacherous. They are wet. I wonder if Cheyney University will shut down today, since we actually have some snow showers, since they closed the school down on Thursday despite nary a flake.
I think we'll survive. Maybe not. I just a reporter on TV tell me it is 'piling up' on the cars.
Bring on spring. Please, I'm begging you. Bring on spring.
